December 08 - Beyla Turns 1

The biggest news for December was Beyla's first birthday. Beyla received so many nice gifts and enjoyed the daily UPS deliveries. She immediately fell in love with her new baby and spent time searching for her belly button. Among her other favorites was of course the drum, exactly like the drums we use in music class. She was thrilled. We celebrated her birthday with Uncle Tony, Aunt Maggi and cousins Camp and Jack. First we went to the Zoo to see the Christmas lights. The kids (and adults) had a blast. We rode the train and got to see the new baby elephant. Afterwards we had pizza and cupcakes from St. Cupcake. Beyla was so tired she crashed out in the car on the way home . . . I couldn't resist!


We had our last day of music for the term and also celebrated our good friend Maggie's first Birthday with my friend Stephanie. The girls were born at the same hospital just one day apart and Stephanie and I met at the Hospital's new mom group. We have become fast friends and enjoy spending time together with the girls during the week. Here is a picture of the two of them in Stephanie's back yard enjoying the crazy snow.
